U.S. Car Dealership Bob Moore Auto Group Accepts Crypto Payments

The Aliant Payments team has added yet another member to the growing list of businesses and merchants that accept payments made in crypto.

On March 11, the platform announced that Bob Moore Auto Group would be accepting cryptocurrency payments.

With this partnership, the Bob Moore Auto Group joined a small group of U.S. based car dealers (it is the first Oklahoma state), to accept payments in three leading cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Litecoin (LTC).

Customers for the Oklahoma based auto dealer can now buy and pay for various items and services using any of the digital assets. The initial project will see customers purchase cars, spare parts, and access service at the company’s Subaru dealership facility in Oklahoma City.

Once satisfied with the results of the program, the company will then roll out the payment option to the rest of its dealerships including Cadillac, Audi, Buick, Chrysler, Ford, Jaguar, Jeep, Land Rover, Maserati, and Porsche among others.

Aliant CEO Eric Brown noted that the addition of Bob Moore was an exciting moment for crypto as the automotive industry provides another cog in the race for global adoption.

The General Manager of Subaru at Bob Moore Charles E. Davis said that the dealership deserved to be among the very first to accept digital currency payments. He added that the company expected to achieve more with the integration of “this ever-evolving space.”

Davis explained that the deal became a reality because the Aliant payment system removes the issue of crypto volatility.

Aliant first offered its payments system to merchants and companies in September 2017, following it up with the launch of a crypto payments solution in July 2018.

The company’s domestic crypto processing solution allows merchants to accept crypto payments without worrying about wild price fluctuations. The system instantly converts crypto like bitcoin to U.S. dollars, with merchants able to access payouts on the next day.

Other notable auto-dealers to dabble in crypto include Ford and Daimler AG that filed a crypto-related patent and launched a cryptocurrency respectively.
